The effect of processing parameters on the wear properties Al6061/GNP composites produced by hot pressing

In the present study, effect of graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) reinforcement in Aluminum material at different rates was investigated on tribological properties. this scope, samples were produced by hot press under determining production parameters. The wear characteristics composites determined using ball-on disc test method. Ball showed that Al6061/GNPs composite which with addition 1 wt% GNPs, a sintering temperature 600 °C, and time 45 min, had best resistance. Thanks to GNPs reinforcement, 61 % reduction rate achieved when compared non-reinforced Al material. effects parameters friction coefficient Taguchi method it most important parameter affecting coefficients wt addition. results is an reinforcing reduces added structure certain rates.
